The Association of Christian College Athletics was founded to provide Christian colleges a platform as a national and international organization for the promotion of outreach and ministry, and for the enhancement and promotion of intercollegiate athletic competition in a Christian perspective.

The ACCA has developed a summer sports ministry program for student-athletes, coaches and teams. The information about Athletes in Mission follows below.

ATHLETES IN MISSION - A DESIGNED SUMMER MINISTRY PROGRAM FOR ACCA STUDENT-ATHLETES & TEAMS TO PLAY & SHARE THE GOSPEL.

ACCA & Atletas En Misión seek to “Impact Eternity through Basketball”. This is achieved through exhibition games and basketball clinics. Join our SPORTS EVANGELISM teams and share the Good News! Our experienced sports ministry staff handles all the details and provides step-by-step assistance to group leaders and coaches.

Why Sports Evangelism?
I Corinthians 9:24 states, “I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” The ACCA has a mission to be a witness for Jesus Christ. In partnership with Athletes in Mission, the ACCA can carry out redemptive work by equipping, mobilizing and sending out student-athletes to proclaim the Good News. These dynamic believers must be strategic… must be passionate and… must be obedient in telling everyone about Christ.

The bottom line is that the ACCA is a servant institution… to Christian University teams in the United States and Canada. A goal of the ACCA is to provide ministry opportunities through sports evangelism… God has given the ACCA an opportunity to develop a ministry that truly changes the lives of the student-athletes as they participate.

Atletas en Misión is a group of committed Christian coaches who love sports evangelism, basketball and the Christian community.

Be a part of our sports evangelism teams to Mexico where opportunities abound… Develop your leadership skills, basketball skills and your ability to share your faith on a short-term mission trip. God has a place for you in a sports evangelism ministry. Our mission is to help student-athletes become more mature in their spiritual life and give them a snapshot of the world’s need for salvation and specifically in the cities in Mexico that we will visit in the summer of 2006.
